General information only
The guides, articles and answers on this Site are general information for homeowners and businesses in Champaign County. They are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified technician.
Who performs the restoration work
Champaign Water Damage Restoration operates a call line. It receives calls and online requests for water damage service and forwards them to an independent local restoration firm. It does not remove water, dry structures, judge damage, sample for mold or perform repairs. The attending firm performs that work and alone answers for its findings, scope, prices, equipment and craftsmanship.
No state licence specific to water damage restoration was found in Illinois. The attending firm must hold whatever registrations and licences its own work calls for, and must carry its own insurance. Those duties belong to that firm. This website holds no registration, licence or certification and does not claim any.
Registration and licence numbers for the attending firm are supplied by phone on request or when the firm contacts you before arriving. They are withheld from this site for the firm's privacy. Confirm any number with the issuing body before reconstruction starts, and direct questions about what a policy pays to your insurer.
Ask the attending firm for its registration and insurance details (833) 490-5225

Prices are estimates
Price ranges are typical estimates for our service area in 2026. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Safety around water damage
Standing water can hide live electrical circuits: do not walk into a flooded room until power to that area is off. Sewage and floodwater (IICRC Category 3) can carry bacteria and viruses; keep children, pets and anyone with a weak immune system away, and do not handle contaminated materials without protection. Visible mold larger than a small patch should be assessed before anyone disturbs it. When in doubt, leave the area and call a professional.
Licensing, standards and insurance
Repair and reconstruction work in Illinois is regulated by that state's contractor licensing board. The IICRC S500 (water damage) and S520 (mold remediation) standards are industry guidance, not government licenses. Insurance coverage is decided by your insurer under your policy; nothing on this Site is a promise of coverage or of a claim outcome, and information here is a summary, not legal or insurance advice.
